Brief Description

Description :

The technology is an integrated method, developed to utilize to a maximum extent the fresh biomass of seaweeds, such as Kappaphycus alvarezii. The technology utilizes fresh seaweed as harvested from sea coast by a method of crushing and filtering instead of drying so as to obtain sap and a solid residue as two useful products simultaneously and cost-effectively to produce a seaweed liquid fertilizer. These are proven to be a promising low cost bio fertilizer (foliar spray as well as soil applications) and residue processed for recovery of cellulosic and carbon materials that may be used for suitable applications.
