Description :

CSIR-NIIST succeeded in indigenizing dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) module fabrication equipment for the first time in the country through industry collaboration achieving a cost reduction of 60-Technology Demonstration0% with respect to the imported ones. NIIST succeeded in developing DSSC Modules up to size 30 cm x 30 cm. Unlike conventional solar cells which require sunlight, DSSCs can function even in low, artificial or indirect light which makes them ideal for indoor use
