Executive Summary : | The primary objective of this study is to know the effect of 5% human albumin-based perioperative fluid therapy on postoperative endothelial glycocalyx shedding product, i.e. syndecan- 1, over isotonic balanced salt solutions. The secondary objective is to compare postoperative hyaluronan, heparan sulphate, ANP, TNF-a, IL-1, IL-6 and IL-10 in these two groups of patients. Along with the duration of ICU stay, duration of hospital stay and hospital mortality will be noted. |
