Executive Summary : | Triple negative breast cancers (TNBCs) are resistant to hormones and receptor-targeted therapies due to their lack of estrogen, progesterone, and HER2 proteins. However, overexpression of folate receptor alpha (FRα) in TNBCs can be targeted with chemotherapeutic agents. Current treatments are biocompatible and environmentally hazardous. To address these issues, eco-friendly herbal nanocolloids loaded with teriflunomide and sulphoraphane, decorated with folic acid, are designed to target TNBCs, improve therapeutic efficiency, and reduce toxicity. Teriflunomide inhibits proliferation and suppresses cell motility in TNBCs, while sulphoraphane regulates epigenetic mechanisms. The proposed herbal lignin nanocolloids target TNBC cells to selectively kill cancer cells and prevent metastasis. This eco-friendly, inexpensive, safe, and effective treatment can increase therapeutic efficacy, reduce toxicity, and reduce bio-waste. |
