Executive Summary :

The study aims to develop SERPINB7/Megsin as a non-invasive diagnostic candidate biomarker for alcoholic liver cirrhosis. The study will analyze Megsin gene expression levels in alcoholic liver cirrhosis and healthy subjects, correlate SERPINB7/Megsin levels with oxidative markers, estimate SERPINB7/Megsin concentration in alcoholic liver cirrhosis and healthy subjects, and discover protein biomarker candidates for alcoholic liver cirrhosis using a proteomic approach. The study will involve 143 patients, with blood samples collected from both healthy and alcoholic liver cirrhosis patients. The study will also analyze allele-specific expression using real-time PCR and melting curve analysis.

This study aims to develop a diagnostic marker for liver diseases, specifically alcoholic liver cirrhosis. The study will analyze data using independent Student t-test, Chi-square test, and odds ratio test. Serum samples will be collected from clotted blood tubes and used for biochemical oxidative marker diagnosis. The study will provide insights for clinical diagnostic considerations and the development of a diagnostic marker for liver diseases. The findings could help improve the diagnosis of chronic liver diseases and contribute to the global fight against alcoholic liver cirrhosis.
