Area: | Medical Sciences |
Focus Area: | Healthcare, Digital Health |
Status: | Testing and Validation |
Social Benefits: | In India, cataract disease is responsible for approx. 70 of blindness in India. For screening of cataracts in villages, there is a requirement for skilled ophthalmologists, and there are only 10,000+ ophthalmologists in our country. Hence there is a requirement for an AI-based digital solution, which would be easy to use by front line workers or the end-users themselves in their homes and which can give the first level of screening and awareness and an indication of whether surgery is needed or not. |
