Executive Summary : | The utilization of enynes as precursors for functionalized allenes is an innovative and promising approach. By employing a radical-mediated method, 1,4-difunctionalized allenes can be obtained using enynes under milder reaction conditions. The replacement of terminal groups in enynes with fluorine atoms, a hybrid template called gem-difluoroenyne is created, paving the way for novel transformations to introduce fluorine groups in allenes. However, the selective 1,4-difunctionalization of gem-difluoroenynes is relatively less explored compared to simple enyne. Furthermore, its asymmetric variant is scarce. Therefore, this proposal aims to establish new protocols for synthesizing enantiomerically enriched CF3-allenes using gem-difluoroenyne. |
