Title: | Improvement of the electrical and thermal properties of the surface of CFRP products for RF applications |
Area: | Astronomy & Space Sciences |
Focus Area: | Composite Material Engineering |
Status: | Under Development |
Social Benefits: | The project being undertaken by ISRO in collaboration with academia is directly or indirectly beneficial to the society. |
Developing Agency: | National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal |
Brief Description
Description : | The project aims at the development of advanced overlay coating technology like High Velocity Air-Fuel spray (HVAF) which 1has the potential to offer solutions to improve the thermal and electrical conductivity of CFRP products, including thin wall-like structures. HVAF can be used to deposit thin and thick overlay conductive metallic coating uniformly. Besides, the HVAF coating technology is cost-effective and robust, thus ensuring high productivity. |
