Brief Description

Description :

Under this project it is proposed to synthesize boron nitride and its composites - a multifunctiopnal photocatlyst for generation of hydrogen gas as a fuel and simultaneous photoreduction of CO2 gas. Further,Synthesis and characterization of boron nitride (h-BN), Carbon doped boron nitride (BCN), CeO2 and composite of BCN/CeO2 will be carried out. Also, optimization of composition of BCN/CeO2 in the composite for better photocatalytic activity will be carried out. Also, Investigations of h-BN, CeO2 and BCN/CeO2 for photocatalytic H2 production as well as CO2 reduction and BCN and its composites as ORR catalyst in fuel cell application will be carried out.
