Executive Summary :

The project is being executed in three phases. The first phase of the work includes stability mapping of the combustor across state variables like equivalence ratios, pressure, flow rates, etc. Across these operating conditions, the various dynamical states attained by the system will be analyzed using frequency spectra. The second phase includes using non-stationary time series analysis to identify critical dynamical states attained by the combustion system and explore the nature of the instability. The last phase of the work deals with the active control of the combustion instability using high-energy plasma discharge.
