Executive Summary : | The project aims to organize science lectures at government schools in Mewat, Haryana, to train rural students in basic scientific and innovative skills. The project aims to develop an analytical, creative, and scientific thinking attitude among students and raise awareness about government support for aspirational districts. Mewat, a historically backward district in Haryana, has a low literacy rate of 24.26 for females and an average literacy rate of 56.10. The project aims to promote science learning in rural students through expert lectures, laboratory experiments, and hands-on training for grassroot innovation techniques.
Approximately 2500 rural students of 6th to 12th class from government schools in Mewat will be selected for science learning and training. Each student will serve their knowledge to at least 10 students, resulting in a total of 2500 direct beneficiaries and 15000 indirect beneficiaries. The project aims to address the lack of lab infrastructure, lack of motivation, and skilled trainers and teachers in rural areas, thereby promoting science learning for future employment and academic pursuits. The project will also involve workshops, innovation demonstrations, and hands-on training for grassroot innovation techniques. |
