Executive Summary : | Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication is a crucial aspect of 5G, a cellular network platform aimed at providing better coverage, accessibility, and ultra-reliable, low-latency communication for various vehicular applications. However, 5G faces challenges such as spectrum shortage due to full occupancy of frequency bands and increasing demand for spectrum due to the increasing number of vehicles on the road and corresponding vehicular applications. Efficient radio resource allocation is crucial for achieving Quality of Service (QoS) requirements in vehicular applications. Secure data transmission is essential for V2X communication, but features such as high mobility, constantly changing network topology, strict application delay constraints, and varying vehicle density pose security threats. These attacks can occur in various modules of vehicular infrastructures, such as vehicles, servers, base stations, and uplink/downlink channels. Concepts like network slicing and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) support various features related to V2X communication, but limitations in resources and security persist. Therefore, efficient resource allocation schemes and solutions for overcoming security challenges in 5G V2X are essential. |
