Executive Summary :

India registers the highest number of diabetic cases (hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia) compared to any other country in the world (currently 25.2 million adults suffer from diabetes and the number is predicted to increase to 35.7 million). The treatment of diabetes is becoming a heavy burden due to its chronic nature, visiting hospitals is also a major concern for the patients. In addition, the association of diabetes with other chronic diseases (such as kidney failure, lung disease, cardiac issues, and liver damage) will worsen the chances of survival. The current project is proposed to address the problem of issues with diabetic treatment through the novel and technical solutions. The proposed system comprises of an AI detection block to which input comes from a glucose sensor and the output is the decision instruction to the pumping module. The decision is made with the pre-existing glucose and insulin level table. The sensor block and micropump block are equipped with an antenna for communication and are also connected in feedback. The entire decision is made on the Internet that will avoid the burden of carrying electronic devices making the system user-friendly. As there is no ultra-portable system to detect and control the glucose levels of diabetic patients, this project manifests a significant impact in controlling the glucose levels of patients by detecting the glucose levels and injecting the precise amounts of insulin into the patient's body. The project is vital for current generation diabetics and is useful in saving lives in the ever-prevailing diabetes pandemic. Especially, in the Indian scenario where the amount of carbs intake is high on a given day, automatic control of diabetes is highly necessary.
