Executive Summary : | Microspore culture induces embryogenic development, leading to haploid plants. Researchers aim to develop doubled haploid lines in hot and sweet pepper hybrids through anther culture/microspore embryogenesis. This creates new genetic recombination and selects useful variability for improved varieties in capsicum, meeting farmers' and consumers' demands for yield traits, productivity, quality, and stress tolerance. |
