Executive Summary : | This research focuses on understanding the impacts of periodic relaxations and periodic impositions of lockdown, forecast the optimal duration of these lockdowns, and analysing through mathematical model whether it would be possible to achieve disease-free state in the population of the country through non-pharmaceutical measures (NPM) only. |
Outcome/Output: | It was observed that people with various degrees of susceptibilities to social influence based on their current opinion can collectively inhibit the disease spreading by resorting to reaching consensus for adoption of vigilant measures. Sufficient condition for exponential stability of the DFE is obtained and the lower bound of agent V-S (Vigilant- Susceptible) ratio is found out in terms of an agent’s exposed transmission rate, incubation rate, and incoming aggregate physical interactions. |
