Executive Summary : | The Hyderabad Ocular Morbidity in Elderly Study (HOMES) is a longitudinal study with pre and post intervention phases designed to, a) investigate the prevalence, causes and risk factors for visual impairment among elderly individuals living in residential care facilities in Hyderabad, India (pre-intervention phase). b) to assess the impact of interventions such as spectacles and cataract surgery on visual functions, fear of falls (Fof) and depression among elderly (post-intervention phase). |
