Executive Summary :

This study aims to investigate the extent to which an epidemic can invade a population can be determined using its basic reproduction number (BRN), R0. Prediction of the growth of infections in a region, calculation of the rate of growth of COVID-19 and effective measures for the officials to reduce the invasive wave of pandemic will be addressed. The sensitive parameters involved in the exponential spread of the COVID-19 pandemic will be investigated. The most efficient measures to quickly suppress the disease spread in newly affected countries will be studied. Various societal factors on the spread of the pandemic will be investigated. How a complete or a partial lockdown in the country affects the spread of the pandemic will be studied. In this study, the understanding of COVID-19 using mathematical modelling approach will be contributed.

Outcome/Output:

The findings have provided a mathematical perspective to the current pandemic that the whole world is facing.
