Executive Summary :

Enantiopure chiral organic compounds are of wide and high utility in various fields of research including materials science and drug discovery. It is therefore highly important to develop novel synthetic methods that allow for an access to structurally new chiral compounds with high enantioselectivity. In particular, silicon-containing organic compounds display unique properties compared to conventional compounds, and as a consequence, more and more attention has been paid to enantio-enriched chiral organosilanes in recent years. In this regard, this project aims to develop versatile and state-of-the-art methodologies for the catalytic enantioselective synthesis of silaycles such as dibenzosilepines, dibenzosilines as well as allenyldibenzosilines and indenylsilines and others using palladium as transition metal catalysts (via 1,5-palladium migration).
