Details
Executive Summary : | This project aims to develop a novel coulometric detection platform of COVID-19 virus nucleic acid for rapid (2 to 3 hours), cost-effective (Rs 400 to 500 per sample), sensitive (more than 90%), naked-eyes detection colorimetric detection in resource-limited settings (without costly RT-qPCR machine). |
Outcome/Output: | Gold nanoparticles based colorimetric probes have shown excellent detection capability and specificity. The gold nanoparticles will eventually be used to detect viral SARS-CoV-2 RNA in patients using the matrix-based extraction of the RNA from clinical samples. |
