2,6,Ditert-butyl-p-cresol(BHT)

In housing project, costing Rs. 3 lakhs (including 24 S&T man months) for a period of 2 years. Know-how for BHT and PTBP at pilot scales, and for PTOP and HA are developed at laboratory scale. Process for BHT and PTOP enable use of 15% isobutene (main raw material) from waste B-B cut from refineries, in place of pure isobutene, dehydration & alkylations merged into a single step to save energy.
