Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur?s development plan rides on one bottom line ? to establish a top teaching-learning institute doing good quality research addressing the technological challenges of the nation. The Institute has organised its academic activities to be conducted through 11 Departments and 2 Focus Groups. The departments are Biosciences and Bioengineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Materials Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics. The focus groups are System Science and Biologically Inspired System Science. During the year 2016-17, almost 100 papers were accepted in journals while 20 papers were accepted in conferences. Two patents were also filed in the same duration.
