Executive Summary :

Climate change is a global issue, with Indian cities experiencing rising temperatures. The Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) is working on a project called "Climate Smart Governance" to improve the capacity of key stakeholders to respond effectively to climate change. The project, funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), aims to empower central and state officers, corporate houses, business groups, and non-profit groups on climate change adaptation. It will also sensitize schools and colleges in climate change adaptation for hills, plains, and coastal areas. The project will involve group activities, panel discussions, lectures, discussions, interactive climate smart toolkits, case studies, experiential learning, site visits, and self-paced courses. The project will focus on ecologically sound decisions, aiming for a cleaner, greener, and bluer future for both individual lifestyles and national development.
