Executive Summary : | The project aims to explore the potential utilization of radial velocity data from DWR in the simulation and prediction of extreme rainfall events (EREs) using the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) variational data assimilation system over the northwestem India region, which is least explored. It is proposed to develop a convective scale data assimilation system by ingesting Doppler Weather Radar (DWR) observations (reflectivity and radial velocity) using 4D-Var assimilation system. |
