(bakery and meat products) Summary: Arabinoxylan is considered to be one of the important dietary fiber with enormous health benefits as reported in the literature, including human studies. Previously under an FTT project, a process of extraction of arabinoxylan was established. The process is unique and cost-effective. The process yielded into two products viz. Calcium hydroxide soluble and insoluble arabinoxylan. Both are cost-effective compared to the existing processes. The current proposal aims to commercialize the arabinoxylan product after fine-tuning and also to incorporate these arabinoxylan products in different dietary fiber deficient food products. |
