Executive Summary : | The problems of optimal utilization of multiple renewable energy sources along with Grid can be very effectively addressed with the powerful combination of the latest internet of things (IoT) technology and cloud computing platform. Here IOT can be utilized for uploading the data of electrical parameters to an encrypted third-party cloud server using UDP/HTTP/BLE protocols. These data uploading mechanism does not require any local server. These data can be processed using an adaptive optimization algorithm on a cloud server to determine the percentage of utilization in order to maximize exploitation of RES and minimize power intake from the utility grid. Therefore, this project proposes an EMS, based on cloud computing with the help of IOT based input data. The cloud computing-based platform makes the data available from any remote station around the globe. A worldwide utilization this method will not only be able to control the power flow from various sources but it will also create a large data log of availability of different RES which will further enable for a precise prediction of RES based generation capacity in near future which will open the doors for enhanced artificial intelligent based data analysis and control action to be taken. |
