Executive Summary :

The workshop aims to cover various topics related to photovoltaics, including thin film, perovskites, DSSC, graphene, quantum dot, transparent conducting oxides, photocatalytic and water splitting, power electronics, smart grid, renewable system design, fuel cells, hydrogen storage materials, and computational modeling and simulation of nanomaterials. The expected outcomes include delegates learning about the status and outlook of photovoltaics, strengthening mutual collaboration between the University of Jaffna and PSG College of Technology, understanding test, measurement, and calibration protocols related to PV systems, identifying areas of mutual interest, and sharing knowledge in renewable energy. The workshop also aims to strengthen existing collaboration and enhance faculty and student mobility between participating institutions. The objectives include strengthening collaboration between Indian and Sri Lankan experts in sustainable energy, involving participants in interaction, creating awareness about renewable energy trends, exposing participants to clean room facilities, and visiting solar PV system facilities at PSG Tech.
