Executive Summary : | Canada and India have long-standing bilateral relations, with commercial companies promoting home automation, carbon neutrality, and IoT-enabled solutions. However, this proposal focuses on sectors of Indian and Canadian society that may be less popular commercial targets. The proposal is designed specifically for off-grid renewable energy power sources and users with limited or no financial resources. It is a novel solution informed by cutting-edge research in electrical engineering and computer science, with the potential to optimize device usage automatically through self-evolving algorithms and develop a viable demand-response model. The project has the potential to develop a standardized systems framework in India and Canada that facilitates the adoption of smart technologies sensors IoT in existing domestic situations. The modular design allows people to choose from simple power measurement mechanisms and warning systems to intelligent IoT-driven full automation. The project has the potential to be scalable and replicable in other regions of the two countries and even globally. The consortium comprises industry partners, state development authorities, state distribution companies, Hydro Quebec, Sanstream Technology, ReMI, OPAL-RT Technologies, TIET, and 201TS, who are actively involved in developing such buildings as role models. |
