Executive Summary : | The project aims to address the challenges of conserving biology, natural resource management, and environment protection by working with tribal children from 15 schools. The project will focus on building their understanding of bio-diversity in forest areas and promoting natural resource conservation and climate resilience. The selected 15 schools will be developed education resources for natural resource management and climate change, and a three-day science workshop will be held with tribal students from class 9th to 12th. The camp will cover topics such as more frequent heat waves, wildfires, health impacts, extreme weather events, heavy precipitation, flooding, drought, renewable energy use, changing seasons, food supply disruptions, plant and animal range shifts, climate change potential, natural resource conservation practices, climate change resilience practices, field exposure, resource mapping, and submission of an integrated natural resource management plan to the village Sarpanch. The project aims to restore knowledge from indigenous people to the field of science and technology. |
