UGC-BSR Faculty Fellowship

These grants are available to the faculties of Basic Sciences, including Medical and Engineering Sciences, of the Universities, which are eligible to receive developmental grants from UGC. Eligibility: The applicant has successfully supervised the Ph.D. dissertation of 15 (in basic sciences) or 10 (in engineering and technology) full time candidates, 5 of whom are graduated during the last 10 years. The cumulative impact factor of the published papers by the applicant should be minimum 50.

The Start-up Research Grant

These grants are available to the faculties of Basic Sciences, including Medical and Engineering Sciences, of the Universities, which are eligible to receive developmental grants from UGC. Eligibility: The applicant must be an Assistant Professor who has been appointed against a permanent vacancy, and have a Ph.D. with a minimum of five research publications in reputed journals. The application must be submitted within a period of one year from the date of joining the University.

Mid-Career Research Award

These grants are available to the faculties of Basic Sciences, including Medical and Engineering Sciences, of the Universities, which are eligible to receive developmental grants from UGC. Eligibility: The applicant has successfully supervised the Ph.D. dissertation of 15 full-time candidates, 5 of whom are graduated during the preceding 5 years. The applicant has successfully completed at least 5 sponsored research projects funded by national/international government or private agencies. The cumulative impact factor of the published papers by the applicant should be minimum 30.

Emeritus Fellowship

The scheme aims to provide an opportunity to superannuated teachers to pursue active research in their respective field of specialization in Indian Universities/Colleges/ Institutions.

The eligibility is based on the quality of research and published work contributed by the teacher in his/her service career.

Research Award

The objective of the scheme is to provide oppourtunities for regurarly appointment of permanent teachers in universities/institutions to pursue research in their areas of specialization without undertaking any research guidance.
