Brief Description
Description : | High-resolution (spatial, 10 m) surface soil moisture product from Sentinel-1 is very useful in many studies related to hydrology, climatology and agriculture. However, it is restricted by the narrow swath and low revisit schedule of the satellite leading to its poor temporal resolution (weekly). The proposed study aims to improve the temporal resolution to daily scale by developing an approach (modelling framework) based on the coupling concept of memory of the soil moisture and hydro-meteorological forcing on it. The forcing may include the several hydro-meteorological variables, such as air temperature, pressure, wind speed, relative humidity and precipitation, which are already known to influence the surface soil moisture variability. The study will deliver a continuous daily surface
soil moisture estimates with high spatial resolution (10 m). |
