Description : | Approximately 120000 tons/year of aluminium dross is generated in India and a very small quantity of this dross residue is used for making crackers, impure chemicals, and low-quality refractory bricks. Disposal and recycling of the residue is a worldwide problem and most of this residue (about 95%) is landfilled due to the unavailability of suitable technologies for recycling. This process is an environmentally benign process that will utilize this hazardous residue to produce a highly useful chemical alum at a very low price. Further, this will completely abolish the mishandling of dross residues that causes severe environmental hazards. |
