Brief Description
Description : | The solar, biomass and hybrid dryers have been developed for efficient drying of grains, pulses, spices, noodles, vermicelli's, fish, meat, tea-leave, vegetables other minor forest products without electricity. Smoke and flue gas do not come in contact with food materials (indirect heating) in biomass and hybrid dryers. Drying capacity varies from 5 kg to 100 kg per batch. By providing proper training to rural tribal people on post-harvest processing technologies, the quality of products can be enhanced with better selling price which in term will enhance the quality of life. |
