The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, has strategic partnership with International Bureau (IB) of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany and German Research Foundation (DFG). The department signed a Programme of Co-operation (PoC) with the German Research Foundation (DFG) in 2012. Under the POC, the Collaborative Research Centres (CRC) and  International Research Training Groups (IRTGs) will be developed and several research Projects will be implemented.
