Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar (RVP)

Established by the Government of India, the Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar stands as one of the highest honors in the realm of science, technology, and innovation within the nation. This award celebrates individuals or teams from government, private sector organizations, or independent endeavors who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in path-breaking research, innovation, or discoveries in any scientific or technological field. Eligibility extends to individuals of Indian origin residing abroad whose contributions benefit Indian communities or society.

Award Categories:

Vigyan Ratna (VR): Recognizing lifetime achievements and contributions in any field of science and technology.

Vigyan Shri (VS): Acknowledging distinguished contributions in any field of science and technology.

Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (VY-SSB): Encouraging young scientists up to the age of 45 years who have made exceptional contributions in any field of science and technology.

Vigyan Team (VT): Honoring teams of three or more scientists, researchers, or innovators who have made exceptional contributions working collaboratively in any field of science and technology.
