Executive Summary : | In this study, a mathematical model is proposed taking into consideration the epidemiological features of COVID-19 and essential preventive measures to predict the number of infected, recovered and deceased individuals and identify different control strategies and its effectiveness in controlling the epidemic. |
Outcome/Output: | In this study, various deterministic/ stochastic compartment models have been considered to capture disease progression in India. The disease persistence and eradication conditions are determined. By estimating various parameters, they have been able to predict epidemic progression during the first wave of the pandemic. They have also studied the outcomes of various controlling strategies. |
