Executive Summary : | Objective: Development of High Power 35kV/1-10kA Thyratron Switches for Fast Switching Applications as per the following specifications: Optimization of processes for design, fabrication and development of thyratrons for improved yield of the fabrication process (~70%).; Performance characterization of developed thyratrons for preparation of user manual for optimum switching within specifications under different test conditions.; Generation of guidelines for identifying limiting operating conditions for the developed thyratrons.; Transfer of the technology to appropriate industry for commercialization. |
