Executive Summary :

The study aims to select and evaluate climate resilient crops based on their stress-resistant capacity, nutritional and medicinal properties, and develop a cluster farming system for aromatic plants and millets. It also seeks to adopt new technologies to improve crop production, processing, and seed preservation methods. The project aims to provide economic and nutritional value training for tribal women and develop guidance for seed village clusters/banks to help tribals become entrepreneurs in the future. The study is unique in its application of aromatic plant products and millet process technology for tribes in Tamil Nadu, improving their adaptation capacity against climate change impacts. The project aims to develop clusters of climate resilient crop farming systems, convert tribals into entrepreneurs in small-scale industries, and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals of eradicating extreme poverty, achieving universal basic education, promoting gender equality, reducing child mortality, improving maternal health, and ensuring environmental sustainability.
