Executive Summary :

This research project aims to examine the drying effects of essential oils extracted from Zingiber officinale ginger and Hedychium spicatum spiked ginger lily from two different locations. The study will evaluate the effects of different drying techniques on the essential oil content, chemical composition, and biological activities of these two rhizome essential oils. The plant material will be dried using sun drying, blower drying, shade drying, and oven drying at different temperatures. The research will contribute to existing knowledge of essential oil preservation techniques and highlight the importance of geographical variations on the quality of essential oils. The findings could influence the production and application of essential oils, ensuring their maximum benefits and retaining unique characteristics throughout storage and usage.
