Executive Summary :

This research aims to explore the diversity and potential benefits of fungal endophytes found in Clitoria ternatae L. Butterfly Pea and Cassia tora L. Sicklepod plants in the Amravati district. Endophytic fungi, which live within plant tissues, play a crucial role in plant growth, nutrient uptake, and resistance against pathogens. They produce biologically active compounds that can be used for medicinal purposes. The isolated endophytic fungi will be cultured and identified based on morphological and molecular characteristics. The crude extracts will be evaluated for antimicrobial properties against human pathogenic bacteria and plant pathogenic fungi. The most active extract will be isolated and purified using techniques like TLC, HPTLC, and GC-MS. The isolated compound will be characterized using spectral data and evaluated for potential drug development. The findings will contribute to knowledge of plant-fungal interactions and offer insights for future biotechnological applications in sustainable plant growth, medicine, agriculture, and ecological maintenance.
