Achievements :

Various existing remote sensing, geological, geophysical, geotechnical and seismological data were collected and collated for Northeast region. Various geophysical surveys like Ambient Noise/Microtremor at 200 locations, Spectral Analysis of Surface Waves (SASW) at 120 locations, Multi-channel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) at 150 locations as well as Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) at few sites were conducted in the cities of Aizawl, Imphal and Kohima. Geotechnical investigation was carried out at 10 strategic locations upto a depth of 30 m with a depth interval of 1.5-3 m in the cities of Aizawl, Imphal and Kohima. Locale-specific site classification map of the Northeast Indian states of Nagaland, Manipur and Mizoram have been prepared. The surface-consistent probabilistic sei
