Details
Executive Summary : | The research work deals with the development of a numerical model for the prediction of ultrasonic test parameters in the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) applications. The simulation environment will be developed in MATLAB using various open-source toolboxes (k-Wave or Field-II) for the experimentation of change in various parameters of testing like transducer geometry, material under test, and various testing conditions. The results of the simulation will be validated against actual experimentation results using test samples provided by LPSC. Hardware experimentation involves the use of an ultrasound transducer pair and ultrasound pulsar-receiver instrument. The various data analysis techniques will be applied to the experimental data to draw the necessary conclusions. |
