Executive Summary :

The main objective of the project is todevelop a multiscale modeling approach to study the magnetic properties of permanent magnet material systems and performing the studying on understanding the exchange coupling mechanism in NdFeB (Sm-Co)/FeCo exchange spring magnets and optimizing the composition for a high coercivity and maximum energy product at different temperatures. The work involves optimization of the composition of Nd2Fe14B/MnBi for high coercivity and high maximum energy product at different temperatures and understanding the role of the interface and interfacial exchange coupling in exchange coupled composite magnets.
