Executive Summary : | The objective is to raise awareness about technological advancements and promote understanding among students and teachers, particularly in rural areas. The campaign will also involve organizing inter-school competitions, public awareness campaigns, and engaging community participation. The campaign will focus on promoting science and technology through various media, including quizzes, debates, and role-playing activities.
The proposed programme aims to organize various activities and events in the Nilagiri block of Balasore district, Odisha, over 12 days. The program includes science outreach, rallies, street plays, and demonstrations for various target groups in rural areas. It also includes an incentive interaction camp for Gram Panchayat sessions, information, education, and communication IEC, awareness campaign, quiz, debate, essay, drawing/poster making competitions, and science dramas. The program is divided into two categories: lower (6th to 8th Class) and higher (9th to 12th Class). Guide teachers will escort participating students, and 25 schools from rural and urban, government, and private schools will be invited. Refreshment coupons will be available with registration kits. Organizing the Science Exhibition involves advertising through news papers, flyers, banners, and flex, and involving volunteers in promoting the exhibition. The preparation of the exhibition includes invitation to resource persons, regular contacts with identified stall-organizers, meeting with resource persons, arranging venue, tent, furniture, advertisement publicity, providing hospitality during the campaign, and photography and reporting.
The program has six months of work, including preparation, execution, follow-up, and documentation. The program will involve liaisoning with participating organizations, scientists, schools, and other organizations, as well as collaborating with NCSTC Officials and other organizations directly connected with the project. |
