Executive Summary :

The project aims to educate students about new science and innovation in the districts of Chhatarpur and Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. The project will involve outreach, hands-on experiments, a science competition, workshops, and interactive expert lectures. The project will be conducted in English and Hindi, with a duration of six months from August 2022 to January 2023. Chhatarpur District, located in Madhya Pradesh, has a population of 1,762,375, with a density of 203 inhabitants per square kilometer. Its population growth rate over the decade 2001-2011 was 19.54. The district has a sex ratio of 884 females for every 1000 males and a literacy rate of 64.9. The project will be conducted in English and Hindi. Damoh District, on the other hand, has a population of 1,264,219, with a population density of 173 inhabitants per square kilometer and a population growth rate of 16.58. The district has a sex ratio of 913 females for every 1000 males and a literacy rate of 70.92. The project aims to promote science in rural area students through expert lectures by scientists, professions, and teachers, as well as training in laboratory experiments for scientific findings. This will lead to the incorporation of science learning in rural area students for future employment and academic pursuits. Approximately 2000 rural and SC/ST students will participate in the camps, with approximately 15,000 indirect beneficiaries benefiting from the activity. The approach and methodology for the project include meeting with principals, finalizing dates, organizing the camp, sending invitations, and organizing feedback reports. The project's objectives include raising awareness about new science and innovation, providing hands-on experiences, organizing science competitions and exhibitions, and organizing workshops to ignite students towards Make in India and other government schemes. The project will also contribute to the overall development of science education in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh.
