Executive Summary : | The study aims to study urban meteorology and future climate using dynamical downscaling of a WRF model for 3km resolution using CESM scenarios. The domain will be the NCR, one of the worst affected and densely polluted regions in the country. The study will require the installation of a state-of-the-art WRF modeling system, which includes models for meteorology, emissions, and physico-chemical transports. The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) will use HPC facilities for simulations, and results will be validated using IMD and satellite observations. Dr. Sagnik Dey will collaborate with IIT Delhi on the project. The downscaled data will be used for health, pollution, and vulnerability analysis. |
