Executive Summary : | Preliminary cytotoxicity studies demonstrated that compund 4b-5b exhibited anticanceractivities in ERalpha+ cell lines MCF-7 but did not exhibited anticacer potency in ERbeta+ cell line MDA-MB-231, a cpmparison of IC-50 indicate max IC50 value obtained for 4b, the result indicated the presence of The in vitro results obtained from DPPH and lipid peroxidation assay indicate that the all the derivatives 4b-5b has exhibited significant antioxidant activity. The in vitro results obtained from DPPH assay indicated that compound 4b-5b exhibited antioxidant activity with IC value. A comparison of IC value indicates that maximum ICs value was obtained for compound 4b that is 32.75mg/ml. These results indicated that the presence of amino alkyl group at C-position of chromone ring in 2-vinyl chromone has resulted in maximum antioxidant activity, Lipid peroxidation assay have inferred that all the novel analogues of 2-vinyl chromones has Inhibited lipid peroxidation. It was found that in all the compounds with increase in concentration lipid peroxidation was inhibited. 5O% of lipid peroxidation inhibition was observed in case of compound 4b-5b. |
