Executive Summary :

The study aims to develop a novel biosensor for detecting inflammatory cytokines, particularly interleukin-1-β, which plays a crucial role in maintaining normal homeostasis and inflammatory responses. The detection method is based on the anionic clay material, layered double hydroxide LDH, which has superior electrochemical characteristics. The material is hybridized with graphene to improve its electrochemical properties. The coating of Cu-Al-LDH with chitosan increases electrode stability and antigen-antibody binding sites, providing a low detection limit compared to conventional methods. The proposed method focuses on developing electrochemical sensing strategies for the detection of interleukin-1-β, including synthesis and characterization of Cu-Al LDH, Cu-Al LDH/GO, and Cu-AlLDH/GO modified with chitosan. The expected outcome is a sensor for early diagnosis and detection of various pathological conditions, reducing animal experiments.
