Executive Summary :

This project aims to develop a bundle of specific Assistive Technology systems, for different disability sectors. This is a multi-institute project, participated by IIT Kharagpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras and NIT Agartala. The components modules of the project are - a) Development of Intelligent Home based Intervention Systems for Children with Dyslexia, b) Development of Affordable Technology to enable access to Educational Materials by the Visually Impaired, c) A Tablet Based Reading Device for the People with Low Vision and d) An accessorized AAC tablet with switches, gesture recognition, stereo audio output, and local language support for the neuro-motor disordered. Accordingly, the project will result in the above four delivarables.
