Executive Summary :

The study aims to grow the two contrasting populations (in terms of different methylation regions) under elevated CO2 in FACE facility and sequenced the small RNAs including miRNAs at mid flowering stage. The 24 nt small RNA and canonical micro RNA profiling of the populations will be done. The small RNA classes and their expression pattern will be determined. The 24 nt small RNA will be mapped with the already sequenced genome and also with the already identified differential methylated regions. Those small RNAs which mapped with the region will be identified and annotated as a putative target for methylation and correlated with the differential methylated regions (already identified). The expression pattern of miRNAs in the two populations will also be carried out to identify the miRNAs expressed under elevated CO2.
