Executive Summary :

The course covers oceanography, remote sensing, and GIS applications in marine and coastal environments. It covers ocean observation systems, coastal zone management, marine policies, surveying principles, geodesy, and GNSS. Advanced techniques like Rayleigh scattering correction and aerosol scattering correction are discussed. The course also explores satellite-based coral reef monitoring and drone-based hyperspectral data acquisition. It also covers marine plastic pollution, coastal water quality monitoring, microwave remote sensing, sea level anomaly mapping, and addressing marine hazards. The course concludes with an integrated coastal vulnerability assessment methodology.
